Access to Education

What types of education and training programs are available?

Because many entrepreneurs do not have the luxury of spending a lot of time and effort attending classes, The Veterans Corporation (TVC) has partnered with Kauffman to offer two extensive online courses found in the eLearning Center. TVC also offers free interactive workshops that provide you with the know-how to establish and run a successful business. Get real-world business strategies and industry knowledge from online workshops designed to help your business grow and succeed. The workshops provide in-depth strategies and solutions to help you manage, operate and build your business, and are accessible 24/7 at no charge. For entrepreneurs who like the camaraderie and peer networking of a traditional course, TVC also offers face-to-face classes at select educational sites across the U.S.

TVC's Veterans Virtual Business Incubator

The TVC Veterans Virtual Business Incubator (VBI) can help you start or expand your business by locating small business resources in your area. In addition, the Veterans VBI offers business services (accounting, printing, website development, etc…) that you can use today to get your business off the ground or expand to wider horizons.

Before I start my own business, I need to work for one or brush up on some writing and/or other basic skills.

In addition to entrepreneurial skills training, TVC also hosts an interactive educational website, www.Boots2Business.com, which is a collaborative effort of The Veterans Corporation and its publishing partners, Impact Education and Technology Based Solutions.

The Boots2Business site represents the most comprehensive anthology of basic and transitional skills courses for adults available on the internet. The specific focus of the site for Veterans and their families is responsive to the documented need that such services are needed and are not readily available. Access to the site 24/7 from anywhere that internet access can be delivered provides a remarkable resource that could not otherwise be readily accessed by Veterans and family members.
