Boots to Business is now in full swing as all service members are now required to view a video about entrepreneurship in what’s called Transition GPS before each service member transitions out of the service. •During Transition GPS, the service member can elect to participate in an additional 2-day entrepreneurial class, taught by a SBA Representative/SBA Resource Partners, including the Veteranscorp’s collaborative partner on franchising, Veteran Business Services, a service disabled veteran owned company. The VBS initial franchising classes were taught in Fredrick, MD and at the Annapolis Navy military installation in Maryland,. The B2B class educates participants on business fundamentals and guides them through an initial feasibility analysis of their business concept or franchise acquisition.
Boots to Business is delivered in partnership with SBA Resource Partners and the Institute for Veterans and Military Families. It is available free of charge at participating installations to service members and their dependents transitioning or retiring from the U.S. military.
